What Qualifies as a Garage Door Emergency
Door stuck open — can’t secure your home. This is our most common emergency call. Whether it’s a broken spring, a failed opener, or a door off its tracks, an open garage door at night is a security risk. We prioritize these calls and typically arrive within 1-2 hours.
Someone trapped in the garage. If the door won’t open and a person or pet is stuck inside, especially during hot weather (garages in the Inland Empire can exceed 130°F in summer), this is urgent. Call us immediately.
Door is unstable and could fall. A door with a broken spring that’s stuck in the open or partially open position is under unpredictable stress. If it falls — that’s 150-400 pounds of steel dropping. Keep everyone away and call us.

What Can Usually Wait
If your door is safely closed and the problem is that it won’t open — that’s inconvenient, but not dangerous. You can wait until business hours and avoid the emergency surcharge ($75-$150 extra). Use the man-door (side door) to your garage if you have one, or call us during business hours for same-day service.

Emergency and after-hours service (evenings, weekends, holidays) includes a surcharge of $75-$150 on top of normal repair pricing. The repair itself costs the same — you’re paying for the immediate availability. We always quote the total before starting work, even on emergency calls.
What to Do While You Wait
If the door is stuck open: try holding the wall button continuously — some openers will close in manual override mode. If that doesn’t work, pull the emergency release (red cord) and try to close the door manually. Lock the manual lock handle if possible. If you can’t close the door, keep the area monitored until we arrive.
